These three things are what Robert Frost brings into rehearsal rooms as a Music Director. 

His work is based solely on creating spaces where new stories can be told, building inclusive community with every process he directs, and pushing the boundaries of music and storytelling.

Hailing from Arkansas, Robert made NYC home while pursuing his passion for music direction and teaching. His innovative spirit and enthusiastic work ethic help bring various projects to life, from workshops of new musicals to fully realized productions.

Robert has served as music director for a variety of venues, both in NYC and regionally. Recent and upcoming projects include Half the Sky (MD, 5th Avenue Theatre), Dory Fantasmagory (MD, NYCCT+Off Broadway Premiere), and Vocal Director (Celebrity Cruises).

As an educator, he serves on the voice faculty of NYU’s New Studio on Broadway. He has also served as a teaching artist at Brown University, Connecticut College, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and the National Musical Theater Institute (O’Neill Theater Center), among others. Robert maintains his own voice studio where he trains students privately, seeking to help his clients find creative solutions to free their natural, individual instrument.
